I have downloaded and opened the registration converter.  Where can I please find the instructions?  Trying to convert my T5-76 to my new CVP809 keyboard.

Hi jgsngbrd,

Make sure you have downloaded and installed V5.1.1 of Murray Best's Registration Manager (YRM) from this site:
>>> Guets are not allowed to view links. In order to access the links, please Register or Login

Complete English documentation is included in the download as a separate PDF file. There is also a link for the German version of the documentation.

Download also the update V5.3 and follow the included instructions in the Read Me PDF file to update the program. Supplemental English and German documentation are also included in the download. (This is not a usual automatic update, e.g. via a Setup.exe file, but the update files must be copied manually into the YRM program folder according to the instructions included.)

Note that the update to V5.3 is necessary in your case because earlier versions do not yet support the CVP-809.

By the way, there is also a YRM version 5.4 that supports the Genos2. To get this current version, however, you would have to contact Murray Best directly, preferably by email. To do this, scroll all the way down on the site linked above and click on the link "Murray Best" if necessary.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

Hi jgsngbrd,

Please now update to V5.3 as mentioned above and on the linked site on Psrtutorial so that you have support for the CVP-809. See also the supplementary documentation included with the V5.3 update download.

Best regards,
Chris

Is there a Registration Manager offered for the DGX-670?

Welcome to the PSR Tutorial Forum, @Sherif Shaalan!

Yes, if you go to the download page for Murray Best's Registration Manager (YRM) mentioned above, you will see that version 5.3 is also suitable for the DGX-670.
>>> https://psrtutorial.com/util/best.html

So please, as mentioned many times, first install YRM V5.1.1 and then update to V5.3 by unzipping the downloaded update file and copying the resulting files into the YRM program folder (confirm the message to overwrite the previous files with YES).

You can find the YRM program folder (on a 64-bit Windows) under the following path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\MBestSoft\RegManager5\

Best regards,
Chris

Thank you, Chris. Since I'm primarily a Mac user, would you have an idea about what the minimum requirements for a PC would be to run Registration Manager?

Any PC currently on the market will do. It's not a very big program.

I wonder if anyone on this forum is currently using Registration Manager on a PC with a DGX-670. How would I find that out?

Sherif,

Buying Parallels and Windows 11 would certainly be cheaper. That's how I run PC apps on my mac. Once Parallels is running and Windows installed, apps can run in a MacOS window. Some PC apps are simple enough to run directly on a Macintosh with Wine but can be really difficult to set up.

I have had very good experiences with Wine 9.0 and Linux. Programs that were previously difficult to run with Wine no longer cause any problems. And you usually don't have to create a 32-bit prefix anymore. I haven't tried the very latest version 10.0 yet.
