You Tube Videos and Copyright Policy

I have approximately 70 instrumental music videos on my You Tube channel, with maybe 10 labeled by You Tube as "Copyright". This includes a notice "Channel Not Affected" and visibility as "Public". 

These Copyright videos are available to view on You Tube with all of my other (not labeled "Copyright") videos. However, these same copyright labeled songs are not available on my You Tube Music app channel. And that's weird.

I just about give up trying to figure out how You Tube will pick and choose certain recorded videos and label them  "copyright" when in actuality it has no affect on You Tube Videos, but is not allowed on You Tube Music.

The problem lies with You Tube labeling a few video uploads as "Copyright"  Does anyone know how and why You Tube determines a copyright label?

I wonder how the hundreds of You Tubers who play and rate copyrighted music get away with it.

I read a few months back that artists on certain labels or certain companies will not allow anything they own on you tube and claim copyright. Luckely its only a couple, I think anything Sony own is one, and certain artists. You can bypass a lot by not monitising the video and crediting the original owner, if you dont you tube will add credits later.

Changing the title to cover version will not stop copy-write claims, I always put cover and still get copy-write claims

A few of my recordings were labeled "copyright" immediately during the upload process, but published to the public anyway.
I don't have any videos monetized, as you need 1000 subscribers, so it's just a strange process that You Tube adds a label "Copyright" that does not affect your channel, and is not a copyright strike.  Has to do somehow with $$$

Even if you don't monetize your videos YT does it!
Even if you say that you don't want advertisement on your videos YT adds ignoring your wish.
This "monetization" from advertisements on your videos without your concern is spiting between YT and the owner of the copyright.
By using YT you accept that YT can add advertisement on your videos with or without your concerns.

I am not allowed to monetize the channel (never intended to) the channel simply serves as an example showing what these amazing keyboards can do.

I have not had any issue with posting links to my Facebook page, my Facebook Band page, or other Facebook Yamaha Groups.

So if some videos are getting blocked, it's not YouTube or Facebook blocking it.

Same with me Drake, no blocks, videos play fine on You Tube, Facebook and are all available to the public, except some of those songs are "not available" on You Tube Music. Not a huge deal, but just weird, how, and why You Tube chooses to add the copyright label.

The author of the original song determines the status on Youtube. He can prevent his song from playing and have the music automatically deleted. The author can allow the performance of his song, but not the monetization. (marked in yellow). In the third case (sharing), the author shares the earnings with whoever played his song. Videos that have this status earn 3 times less than those where the music is not protected. This didn't matter to me when I had less than 1000 followers, I couldn't monetize the channel anyway. Today, with 7000+ subscribers it has become important to me and I always try to make sure the music is not copyrighted.

Good explanation. Still a little weird that some instrumental songs are labeled "Copyright" (even labeled before the video upload is complete).
Does that mean someone like Alois Müller who has over 2,600 music videos is losing money because he has to share copyrighted labeled instrumentals? Or perhaps he knows a secret?

The YouTube algorithm recognizes the audio recording and automatically determines whether it is protected or not. This is probably faster than rendering the video material, so the notification appears before the video
Yes, I think all Youtube uploaders must share the earnings with the author. Of course, Youtube also takes part of the money :-)
This can be avoided if we skillfully play the melody and change the key parts. Here's an example:
