Genos2 USB Audio out

Is it known if the USB Audio Out on the Genos2 has its volume controlled by the keyboard volume knob, or is it like the AUX-Out which is not controlled by the volume knob?

My windows PC is connected to the genos2 through usb. The windows sound output is configured to use the genos2 digital interface.

When the genos2, connected to speakers, is up, I hear the sound generated on my PC.

The PC sound volume increases or decreases when I change the global volume level on Genos2

optical digital out is not controlled by the keyboard
volume knob. But I did not see such a statement
in the Genos2 manual. I have a soundbar with
digital input and I would like to use the digital output
of the Genos2 to get a cleaner amplified sound.
But only if I can control the volume in real time
from the keyboard volume knob.

The Genos 2 does not have the Digital output that the G1 had.

Yes the actual signal maybe digital - the G1 connection was a coaxial one.  The USB on the G2 will require you to have a Steinberg driver installed on the Pc, therefore you may not be able to use your soundbar as a direct connection.

My video digital soundbar (on my TV) has a response which is not flat at all.
There is a risk that the wav files you would generate on your Genos2 (audio recording) will be very bad when played through another speaker system.

I can confirm that volume knob on G2 does NOT affect the level of the USB audio digital output. This is when using the Yamaha Steinberg ASIO PC drivers.

And this is a slight problem, because the output level is just slightly too hot, which can cause the DAW to clip.

The solution is to lower the levels of all comp and keyboard parts, or as I did, add a limiter to the master effects and reduce the level by 6db.
