I think many of us would be grateful yo know if owners of
Genos2 are happy with the updated CFX piano,
especially those that had the Genos in the past.
At the launch, Yamaha emphasized more layers
more samples
and longer samples. But does all that result in a
voice
that now does not sound "thin" as some described
the Genos CFX?

Thanks

Sam

All the Pianos on Genos all sound good. You have to try them for yourself.

The following video has good piano demos:

It's in German, so you may want to skip forward to the playing. All the usual caveats about Youtube sound quality apply.

Yamaha really invested a lot of time and effort on G2 acoustic pianos. I really dig the cinematic grand and felt pianos. These are beautiful alternatives to the CFX. Not a G2 owner, but jealous.  ;)

All the best -- pj

As mentioned before, the audio quality of YouTube is extremely poor and not suitable for a good sound impression.

I recorded most Genos2 voices digitally in WAV format. have a listen at https://we.tl/t-IL5400jb8U

It does need a little compression to things up a notch though
Genos, I7 computer 32 gig ram, Focusrite 6i6, Cubase controller, Focal Alpha Monitors, Yamaha DXR8 Speakers
Cubase 10, Sonarworks, Izotope.  Sampletank, Arturia and Korg software.  Now IK Mixbox
