I use "StyleMagic" which allows me to edit OTS... which means that when I come across any styles that are missing OTS or if I want to change the OTS, I am now able to.

It's a winner for all DGX-670 users.....Highly recommended

Have you used the style creator to change into/endings between the 3 available on styles and resaving them as user also since the DGX 670 only has one intro/outro?

You can select one of the 3 in the Menu Style Edit and resave.

Call it "Old Age" but I am unable to do this in the style creator because I cannot find out where to do this .... YIKES !!!!!   If some kind soul can tell how to do this in style creator I would be most appreciative.

Although I am quite happy with Style Magic Software.

I have also found Software where I could copy the OTS of any style and use it to my style.

These two software have addressed all my needs so far.

Hi

My "OTS Editor" software at http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/otseditor/index.htm has had this replace feature for 15 years!  :o :o

DNJ. Please explain what you mean because my DGX670 has 3 Intro & 3 Outs.

hmm.. now I'm confused because DGX-670 specifications (in Manual) says there's one intro and one ending. And looking at DGX-670 picture, I only see one button for each.

Bogdan, one of the limitations on the DGX is that it does only have 1 into/ ending button. You have to pre-select which intro you want. I don't think that's great, but I suppose at the price.....

Thank you both for clarification!
Mike, I personally don't see that as some big limitation -I usually use only one intro/ending anyway.

I'm reading screenshot of reference manual that rphillipchuck provided... Just so I have fully clear picture about this: Is DGX-670 using three different intro's, or is that the same one intro where certain channels are turned off, depending on which intro you select? I hope my question makes sense.

The DGX670 has 1 intro & 1 ending button.....if you want to use intro/ending 2 or 3 let's say, you would have to go into the style creator select 2 or 3 and resave the style to user ....then use that style for you song but you would still only be able to use 1 intro or 1 ending that you have saved....makes sense??

Thanks Dnj, all clear now  :)

DGX670. Because you can't change and save OTS's in Style edit, any OTS changes have been made in a RGT, so it's easy at the same time to select which Intro/-ending you wish to save.
Yamaha in their wisdom wanted to keep the piano face clear of extra buttons.
At first the menu can be a pain but after daily use I can sail through it.

Looking at this makes me think to get a 670. Bluetooth? Perfect for my Amazon Fire Tablet.

Er... you're aware that the DGX670 has bluetooth audio input, not bluetooth midi i/o? Unless you were planning to use your Amazon Fire to stream audio to the DGX670 (watching youtube or listening to mp3's)?

oh nonono. I will be using for the Chord Tracker. If that works. If not? That's okay.

That's what I mean; it *won't* sync to your amazon fire tablet via midi bluetooth for chord tracker to work, as the DGX670 is bluetooth audio *in* only.

You *can* however just plug in a USB cable if you wanted to send the chord block midi song into the DGX; *AND* the bluetooth audio *does* at least work to play back the audio stream of your mp3/wav via the DGX670 speakers (so in *that* sense you could say it works, to show you the chords (albeit approx 800ms behind the audio stream) but for learning a song via chord tracker, that's actually close enough!
