If you look into a style file, it is often programmed on more than channels 9 to 16.
Does anyone here know which programs it is possible to program more than these eight channels.
I know it can be done in Casmedit but I wonder if there are newer programs for this.

Hi Tommy,

There is "CasmEdit" by Evgeny Osenenko (current version 3.2.6.1):

... and "StyleMagic YA":

You could also use the "Style Split and Splice" program. This allows you to split a style file into a "non-midi" part and a midi part (.mid). The Midi part (especially the notes on up to 16 channels) can then be edited in a suitable program (e.g. DAW or MixMaster). Finally, the file must be saved/exported in "SMF0" format and can then be reassembled with the associated non-MIDI part into a working style file using "Split and Splice" again.

And there are Yamaha's "Stylist" (Cubase plug-in) and the relative new "ExpansionStyleEditor" (stand-alone program). Unfortunately, Yamaha only distributes these programs to selected professional style programmers. All other users cannot get it. :(
