Hello everyone,

Having more experience with Korg, is it possible to remove the chord progressions in the intro II and ending II of a style on the Genos2?

Eric.

Simple answer, No.

But.

With some time, trial and error, and technical proficiency, with the new midi to style app you may be able to do that, combined with the free Style Slice and Splice app http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/sands/index.htm.

First split the style, then edit the midi in the midi to style app, then splice it back together.

Oh, how I wished Yamaha gave us chordless Intro II and Outro II! Korg and Roland have been doing it since always.

It's one of those things that if you don't know it exists, you don't miss it. But once you have played with them, it's hard to not have them.

Anyway.

Jorgen's Split and Splice tool is very handy. I would suggest splitting the style file into MIDI and non-MIDI parts. Edit the MIDI part with a DAW, putting the Intros and Endings into the same chord scale. Splice the two parts together again. Then use either CASM Editor (from Jorgen) or the keyboard's Style Creator to set the Intro and Ending NTR/NTT like a MAIN section.

Yep, it's work -- pj
