Reading all comments so far and looking at the YouTube videos I am not sure that I can justify the high cost of upgrading from my Genos 1, so has anyone actually got their new keyboard and if so what are your opinions of it compared to the Genos 1.
What additional price would you expect to have to pay for the Genos 2 if using Genos 1 as a trade-in.
Thanks

Hi Hawklord,

I don't have mine yet, but regarding trade in, as far as I can see a lot of places are offering quite a decent trade price and I've not really seen or heard of a poor one yet. It really depends on how much you're willing to let it go for and pay towards a Genos2. For example, I purchased my Genos last year for £4299 and I had a figure in mind of what I would like for it but in reality I was never going to get that. Even so, what I was offered was pretty good nonetheless. I also didn't the hassle of trying to sell it on something like eBay or the likes where there may be 100s going soon at all sorts of prices.

I ordered my G2 yesterday, expect delivery in Dec.I currently have a G1 bought new at release in 2017,I will need to find £2,300 for the purchase of the G2,£100 deposit paid, which I am OK about.I was asked about the condition of my Genos and they accepted my answers,so we made the deal.Shop around a bit ,maybe trade-in prices for G1's could drop if there becomes too many on the market after people upgrading

Thanks for your replies and having to pay an additional £2300 would be acceptable to me as I was thinking it would be around £3000. I would never dream of selling anything of this sort of value through Ebay etc.

Hi alans
If you got £2700 for your G1 you done very very well indeed

EileenL

Yes most shops in UK are offering £2000 for Genos1. It seems to be the norm right now and £4999 for Genos 2.

Hi Alan's
Phew I thought I lost out on a good deal there , I got two grand on my G1 , looks like they all balance out the same at the end of the day, 14 Day wait on mine but already anxious.

If you're trading in our current Genos for a Genos 2, the important price, is the price to change. Some places are taking in the region of £3000 to change, whereas the best price to change l've found is £2399.

Hi Russ

I nearly bought my G2 from Epianos again as I did my G1 ,but looking around they did seem a more than some other traders this time round.I am quite happy with the deal I got from A and C Hamilton inc delivery. It always pays to shop around to see what other deals are out there.Hope your negotiations go well,yes,650 is a fair old  difference.

Yamaha promised my dealer to send 'xx' G2. Finally he got less in the first batch, so I just could not get one of those. No problem, so I have to wait for the second batch either ...  :)
My best regards,

Still waiting for mine. No word fr4om A C Hamilton. Like alans, there are a few ahead of me - over 30 I believe. I keep hoping I'll get word today. Before Christmas, please.

In the meantime I'm revamping my lead sheets in MuseScore4 and saving in my Genos2 folder on my PC. In the header I put the Reg and Style but am having to put ?? for Style because I'm not sure which one I'll use on the G2. I'll get the call soon. I'll get the call soon. I will, won't I?

My dealer has said that they are experiencing delivery issues, receiving them in small batches and not being told when.

keithvenn

I got mine last Thursday from Guitar Guitar. They had one in stock at their Glasgow branch that they sent me.

I still have my Genos 1 and will be selling that at some point. The going price seems to be around £2,200 at the moment, although some sellers trying for more.

I just got the phone call from A & C Hamilton.... Mines arriving Monday.... can't wait to get my hands on it. ;D ;D

Mine came on Wednesday from Rimmers. I bought stand, pedal and Speakers from different sellers - stand and pedal inbound tomorrow, speakers seems to be a long wait.

I got mine yesterday. Spent yesterday setting it up and updating firmware and downloading the available expansion packs. So just starting to scratch the surface but the sound is amazing.

Got my phone call from AC Hamilton yesterday pm. My G1 is being collected today and I'll get my G2 Tues/Weds. While I was on the phone they told me someone else was at the shop picking up their G2 as they live nearby. Lucky bu**er!

Prepping my G1 for collection took longer than I envisaged yesterday. I thought using the Factory Reset button would do just that but as others on here have said, it doesn't (search Factory Reset). I eventually got it back to factory build. Next problem I had was deciding how the middle section on polystyrene fitted. After many tries I got it.

Time goes too fast these days as it is - where has the last 10 years gone? I don't want it to go any faster but.....roll on Tues/Weds.

Chuffed to bits - and I haven't got it yet.

Tony

EileenL

Hi Tony had the same problem fitting into the box with the middle section. Have marked up the pieces for G2 box. ;)
Don't forget to update it first and Also the YEM and away you go into a new sound experience.
