I was not impressed with his Focus number Silvia. Not quite right guitar choice
Just my opinion. He is a very impressive player though, but puts too many embellishments in that takes the originality out. Sometimes less is more.
I know my 70's rock
Oh well he has to better Jan Akkerman, not an easy task.
I am not having a go at Peter Bartmans as he is a very skilled player, it is only my opinion.
I do find a lot of keyboard players put too many trills and rolling notes in to get around a song. I love originalty as close as it can be.
My dad used to flip notes and hated it. It is an old fashioned way organ players seem to play the oldies songs.
I hope you know what i mean, if not , it is me i am afraid. :P
"i'm a Rocker"!! and a Nut!! ;D

You're not alone John. l feel the same way regarding too many fancy frills etc. i find it quite off puttin gin the end, no matter how good the player is. Some players seem to manage to actually lose the tune they're playing and go way off tangent with way too much additions that for me add nothing. Personally if l'm listening to a tune being played, in my mind i want to be able to play along with it in my head if that makes sense, but when they go off at a tangent l lose interest.
