Sorry, but, endless messages about Genos 2. No new news, nothing of definite information. Please unless there is a definite reason, give it a rest. Plus people like me who have no interest in buying one, are happy with Genos 1 or the keyboard we have are being swamped.

mikf

It has reached the silly point, I have to agree. Now it's not even about Genos, but whether "I know more than you know" . But you don't have to read them. Sanity will soon return.

Absolutely agree with all this.  I have no interest whatsoever in whether there will or will not be a new Genos and voiced my opinion on this ages ago.  I even left the forum but decided I was perhaps being silly so I returned!!!  I just read the list of new topics now and ignore anything relating to the new Genos.  Well said guys.

Keith, Ive stuck my head above the parapet again ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  Loved your diving stories

Hi Ugawoga,
Ive just bought a brand new golf club .  Its a Ping Glide 4.0 58 degree lob wedge.
That's probably as interesting to you as the latest Genos is to me  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Each to his own I guess but I dont keep posting messages on the Ping forum speculating on what the next Ping golf club is going to do.
I just dont get it.
I have an SX900 btw and I think its great.
Write your letter to Father Christmas ,and if you've been very very good, perhaps he'll drop one off for you  ;D ;D ;D

If you don't want to read any conversations about the potential new Genos 2, don't read the threads that say something like Genos 2 in the title.

It really is as simple as that.
Genos

As said above---I dont read them but I did read this one as I agreed with the title

There is no problem members, who have the intention to buy the new Genos2, would like to talk about it here, IMHO.

Exactly. And there is a section for it here as well. Where else would one talk about it than a specialized forum or group such as this.

Well be prepared when the Genos 2 lands you will hear more about it how good, what's not and all the bugs that needs sorting, and it's only annoying for members who  have no interest in it, you just got to think back when you purchased your current keyboard how excited you were in the build up to getting it then finally buying it. All the time this forum is running and there will be the Genos 3, 4, 5 history will always repeat itself like it did with T5 and Genos 1 and their pre-decessors
If you don't like reading about it then don't read it, and if you don't read them you would not be posting on this thread saying you are fed up about reading them  because you don't read them.

Hello,

"It has reached the silly point, I have to agree"............................

Trust me.......this is only the beginning.  I never could understand how a Yamaha forum could have so much Yamaha bashing on it. I for one, miss those silly Yamaha releases of the past.  One of the Tyros models had a countdown timer and every few days another piece of the puzzle was released.  Corny?  YES!!     but I love it!!!    -charley

I've been following the Montage M anticipation and release on other forums.

This is a walk through the daisies.  :D

I tend to agree with the subject/title of this post.   Lots of speculation . . . . . . . whish lists, etc.

On the other hand, i also recognize that the Genos 2 topic is very valid for a forum like this and the fact that members have the right to post their thoughts on the subject.

So, the middle of the road solution is a). for members to continue to express their views on any valid forum topics (such as Genos 2) and b). for members to only read the posts of interest and skip the others . . . . .

We are so lucky to have this forum . . . . . and also lucky to be able to select which posts to read and what to skip.

Have a great night everyone.    Greetings.

Good morning,

On a forum dedicated to YAMAHA products, what could we talk about?

- Tyros 1,2,3,4,5 from Genos 1? It's been done for a long time.

- From the last edit? He doesn't seem to excite many people.

- Technical problems related to the operation of certain arrangers? Responses are provided judiciously and punctually.

- The latest Korg and Ketron products? it's not so much the place although long discussions took place in their time.

Well, for those who are waiting to acquire the new Genos, I find it legitimate to express their impatience.

As for those who are not in this case for their own reasons, they can always avoid this theme and try to find others which would correspond more to their wishes. And they will not be bored by the exchange of impressions on this product.

Life is not necessarily made up of obligations. It is also made of choices.

I don't think that anyone, me included would mind reading about a new Genos, or anything yamaha if it was news. Most replies are just repeats of other replies, some from other sites. A dedicated Genos 2 section would be an idea, which we have for other sections. Then all the Genos 2 info would be grouped together for those interested and not read for those who are not.

JohnS (Ugawoga)

My friend Dave just yawns when i talk about music.
He then starts talking about motor racing and all the technicalities of it and then i start yawning.

Tried golf a couple of times, but always had trouble getting past the windmill.

Then the elastic on my golf ball broke, so I thought it's time to give up.

Well said Christian.
Although I have my eye on the arrival of the new Genos I am currently quite satisfied with my new Ketron Event. For those yammie lovers here who are willing to look beyond the boundaries so to speak here art two links
to recent home recordings of mine made with the Ketron Event:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smyWfCWqbFM

Closer to most home yamaha players are probably the recordings of my fellow countryman Ben, on his new
Korg PA5X:   https://www.youtube.com/@bensel46/videos

Enjoy and good luck for those of you considering the purchase of the Genos 2.

I estimate that on average less than 25%  of the forum posts are of direct interest to the typical reader. But you have to scan quickly thru most of the posts to find those. That's just the way it is on most forums.
It takes about 3 secs to scan a post and decide it's of no interest. Are we all so busy that those 3 secs is a huge waste in our  day, or so annoying that we need it hidden from us so we never see it???

"The Next Yamaha Keyboard" rumors section would be the logical place for this thread, but it's currently in "Genos General". I guess it's a tossup where this thread belongs. I don't think it makes sense to name a special section called "Genos2" when the launch is totally unconfirmed.

Fully agree.

And as soon as we have official info about the Genos II, then the discussion should be in a dedicated Genos II board.

Dear all,
How hard can it be???
One can simply deduce from the topic whether it is of interest to the visitor or not!!!!
Several topics are posted here that do not directly concern Genos.
And jealousy cannot play a role, everyone can switch to the successor if they feel like it.
We're not children, are we? ;) ;)

Hello Musician 01,

I fully agree with the terms of your post.
I will go back a little when the question of the release of the new Genos was raised.
Some have sunk into a kind of skepticism and hammered home the refusal to think that this could ever be possible, calling the idea "fake".
Reality will prove them wrong.
Now that this model is going to be released, some people are talking about the fact that this acquisition for those who wish it would be of no use as the previous models would suffice.
I am against the philosophy of "one thought".

Everyone should be able to do as they wish without any judgment being made.

Dear @Colas m., I understand your enthusiasm and belief in your own truth, but I notice that in your responses you regularly portray those who do not want to follow you as if they were a number of 'ignorants'. Once again, it is not about whether you are right or wrong, it is always about the legitimacy of the source mention (in my case). Your last post is another example of it. Take a look at what you write in the last sentence and the condemnation of those who think differently in the sentences above!!?? They are very contradictory. Nuff said  ;)
My best regards,
Ton
