Transpose in Quick Record

I am recording a songs music in Midi Quick Recording so I can sing the lyrics along with the saved Midi file. After a instrumental break, I hit the Break button followed by the transpose + button in order to go one-half semitone UP. I hear the change up in my headphones, but it does NOT record that change.
What am I doing wrong here? Thanks

Make sure your transpose is set to Keyboard for it to record the transpose.

On Yamaha keyboards, you can transpose the Keyboard, Song or both (Master). You need to assign transpose to Keyboard. It's a setting in the menu.
