Hi

I had a go and purchased Band in the box and i would like to know what is it like linked with Genos midi  and a Focusrite 6i6 and Cubase or similar.
Any one interested in talking about, I would be interested to know about experiences with BIB.

All the Best

I have the sx 900 and band in a box.

You can not play BIAB in real time like an arranger because it will not react fast enough to react like the PSR.

I have been able to create songs on BIAB and export in midi format to the SX900 with mixed results. I haven't spent a lot of time  on this. Looking at the BIAB menu you should be able to get BIAB to use the sound card in the keyboard.

The chord programming set up on BIAB is excellent. I started to look at ways to export chord progressions to the Chord Looper. Yamaha does not read the standard Music XML files unfortunately. I think this IS  by choice not hardware limitations.

If you have specific questions BIAB  haS a very good chat line with their tech support.

I found this works
Mp3
1. Create a song using Biab  Chord Sheet function .
(Which is easy , quick and user friendly)
2. Save the song arrangement as an mp3 file
3. Load mp3 into Chord Tracker
4. Edit chords as needed
5. Send Chord Tracker info to PSR  Chord Looper or Chord Tracker midi player.
6. Select style and fine tune on the PSR as you see fit.

Hi Guys :

Wished there was an equivalent BIAB software prog ( chord input, editing etc. in the pc ) available in the market for SFF2 Yamaha styles use.

I am dreaming, I guess or ... am I wrong ? ;)

Best Wishes, JH

Hey Patrick :

Thank you so much for your very interesting feedback. :)
I will install this prog on my pc. Cross my fingers. ;)

In the meantime I have installed the progamm and I have the impression this prog is exactly what I am looking for.
Once again, many thanks, Patrick !

Best regards, JH

Interesting program. I have not come across this one before.

It's like a stripped down version of Band In A Box which is good . Band in a Box is very complicated so this is great plus it's free .

I hope they come up with an iPad version.

Thanks for the tip.
