Hi Mick,

As a precaution, please make sure that "Genos/PSR-SX600/700/900" is active in MobileSheets in "Settings > MIDI Settings > MIDI Device".

On the Genos it is important that Sy*** Transmit (TX) AND Receive (RX) are switched ON. The easiest way to achieve this is to activate one of the preset MIDI templates "All Parts" or "KBD & STYLE".

If it still doesn't work both ways, it's probably because after you linked the MobileSheets songs to the registrations, you changed the name of the folder(s) where the registration bank files are stored (in the Genos User drive or on the USB stick), or the folders or registration files were moved. In this case, you would either have to restore the old state (folders/file names / locations) or link the MS songs to the relevant registrations again.

If you use a USB stick, make sure that it is addressed with the same drive letter as when creating the links to MS. I recommend never plugging in more than one USB stick when working with registrations, so the stick will ALWAYS show up as "USB1".

Best regards,
Chris

Thank you for your reply ,had a lot of help from Mobile sheets ,but i finally fixed it by loading back up file from surface pro ,loading it onto my dell laptop where it all worked fine i then compared the settings of the 2 they where both the same but looking at what i was doing different Dell laptop was direct to Genos where as surface pro was via a hub with web cam and Focusrite interface , out the hub worked fine on both laptops hub was the problem spoke to a friend later and was told poor hubs can distort midi signal .
problem solved .

Thanks for your feedback Mike! I am glad that the problem could be solved.

P.S.
I generally recommend not using a USB Hub for USB-MIDI connections, i.e. connecting the keyboard directly to a USB terminal of the computer. Yamaha also recommends this in various manuals.
