Anyone know which category the country styles are located in on the SX900?

Hello all

Hi---I had the same issue as they are not a separate category like the S975 but they are mixed in in the "World" category.
But better than that is to press the style bar- then search- type in country and a lot of country styles come up in various parts like the old legacy and GM (I think!!) and at the bottom of the screen it shows where they are located---tiny print, bottom left
Hope this helps---I dont often answer questions as I dont know anything  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Welcome back to the forum, guitpic1!

In the SX900 Data List you will find the "Style List". There you will find all preset styles, sorted into the individual categories and in the same order as on the keyboard. You can use the search function of your PDF reader on the computer to search for "country", for example.

I did a quick search for "country" on the Psrtutorial SX900 style page.
>>> https://psrtutorial.com/sty/yamaha/psr-sx900.html

Here is what I found:

- Most styles (23) with "country" in their name are in the POP&ROCK category on the SX900.
- "CountrySwing" is in the JAZZ category.
- "CountryBlues" is in the R&B category.
- "CountryWaltz" is in the WORLD category

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Yeah basically they're all over the place, why Yamaha likes to keep shuffling them is beyond me... The categories in years past were fine as is.

It also doesn't help that some styles get RENAMED so in this case something that had the word Country may say Nashville instead.

Maddening. This is my big gripe about this generation of keyboards.

Thank you all for the help😊👍

WELL what a find, and Thank you Irene.   you know more than I do, so please post more often ! ;D ;D ;D

Sure beats searching through that print off of the microscopically tiny 6 point Data List.
No Yamaha keyboards at present.
Korg Pa5X /61 Arranger /Workstation
Korg PAAS Mk2 Keyboard Speaker Amp system
Technics SX-PR900 Digital Ensemble Piano
Lenovo M10 Android tablet with Lekato page turner
Roland RH-5 Monitor Headphones

Hey thanks for that Divemaster!!!!   I was just cringing when I read the other comments thinking I had given out duff info although that's where I had found it.
It IS difficult to find and I play a lot of country styles and would prefer a Country category.  Its really poor IMHO.
Anyway--glad I came up with something useful  ;D ;D ;D ;D
Cheers
