Hi Guys :

To my knowledge the Yamaha PF 1000 / 88 note ( from 2002 ) has the same engine as the PSR2000.
This information I have found on the internet but I do not know if it is true or can be confirmed.

I hope I can find the PSR 2000 win driver and it would be usable for the midi installation of the PF 1000 in win10.

Thank you so much for your help !
Best regards, JH

Hi Jeff,

The PF-1000 does NOT have a USB-to-Host terminal, but just a proprietary "To Host" multi-pin terminal. You can connect an optional Yamaha USB interface (UX series) to it. There was the Yamaha CBX MIDI Driver for this, but as far as I know it is not yet compatible with Windows 10. And the current Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver (V4.3.1 x64) is probably not compatible with the old UX USB MIDI interface mentioned.

Fortunately, the PF-1000 also has DIN MIDI terminals. I would just use a standard DIN MIDI to USB interface (cable). Note that the PF-1000's HOST SELECT switch must be in the MIDI position.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Hi!
Here is an excerpt from the instructions for use of the PF-1000:
"Note for Windows users (regarding MIDIdriver):
To transfer data via the computer's serial port and the PF-1000's TO HOST terminal,
you need to install a specified MIDI driver (Yamaha CBX driver for Windows). "
So it was already easy to find. Here is the link:

This is an old program, and on new windows systems it can (theoretically) no longer be run.
Try compatibility mode. Good luck!
