Sorry if this is a re-post from the the main PSR-E Series forum. But I figured I would get a better response here in the Midi Files and Setup.

I want to know what parameters should contain in my Midi file to enable the Lesson feature on my PSR keyboard.

I noticed the optional midi songs provided by Yamaha, when loaded on a USB, can trigger the Lesson Feature on the Yamaha keyboard. But any other midi from the internet just plays the Midi and does not allow the Lesson feature. I'm just curious what parameters I should enable on the my midi to use it with the Lesson feature. I tried editing the notes on a DAW and Midi compositing software, but I was unable to trigger the Lesson on the Yamaha E473 keyboard.

Edit: Got my answer in the main PSR forum.

Solution: You need to convert your midi files to midi format SMF0, for instance with the Yamaha File Utility:

Just a follow up question. Is there a way to batch convert SF0 files. The Yamaha File Utility tool is great but it becomes tedious when I have to manually convert a bunch of midi files.
