use genos/Tyros5 expansions on PSR S770

Hi,

I own a PSR S770 for a long time which I wasn't using since 2020, but recently started using it again.
I downloaded a genos/tyros 5 expansion pack from the yamaha web site called vintage synth
and I was wondering if I could use the expansion manager to create a bank that I could upload to the S770.
(it should fit the S770 memory)

Welcome to the PSR Tutorial Forum!

Unfortunately, the Expansion Pack you mentioned CANNOT be used with the PSR-S770.

"Vintage Synth" is a so-called "Premium Pack" and therefore only available for Tyros5 and Genos. This Pack comes in protected/encrypted ".cpf" format and can only be used with those models for which a specific ".cpf" file is available. In this case these are Tyros5-61, Tyros5-76 and Genos.

By the way, the "Vintage Synth" Pack contains 10 Styles. I got these from the Tyros4 and Tyros5 version of this Pack. With a little tweaking, these styles should also work on the S770. If you are interested in these styles, come back here again and I will make the styles available for download.

I just downloaded a few zip files from this page

which are the Onacimus' Styles For The PSR-S970/975
that are from 18 April 2020 and were converted from
Genos, the SX900 and CVP-809 (it is right below
the internal style lists of the S970/S770).

There is also an excel there which has the comment of
'GENOS V.2 Superior styles' for some of the styles,
so maybe these include the styles you mentioned.

I would still be very interested in the styles you mentioned,
so would be grateful if you could send me a link to those
and maybe I'm a pig :-) asking if you have any of the other
styles from any premium pack, like the vintage keys one.
