A driver is only needed if you have an actual MIDI interface or instrument connected to your computer. Since you didn't mention one, I assume that you don't have a MIDI device you wish to use. This would also explain why you don't see any input port options.

When playing back a MIDI file, the MIDI Output Port selection determines where each track sends its MIDI data. A tone generator then has to receive this data, in order to produce music from it; This can either be an external MIDI device, or a software instrument running on the computer.

If you don't have a hardware MIDI instrument connected, you therefore have to set up a software instrument instead. This would typically be a VSTi plugin instrument inside your chosen DAW. Alternatively, you should be able to select the "Microsoft GS Wavetable" (Windows' own MIDI tone generator software) as your tracks' MIDI output destination.
