Genos 2 Design Wishes

No. I want a GENOS that can be played like a GENOS - but with the sound capabilities of a MONTAGE and the connectivity of MONTAGE - to a DAW.

Not too much to ask.

I actually think modern top end HW arrangers - specially GENOS make much better use of the physical real-estate and button possibilities than the MONTAGE.

I think a modern arranger like a PSR or Pax series - is to what a workstation should be -  what a NORD STAGE is to what a stage piano should be...  we want TONS of physical controls - ideally SINGLE USE ONLY -
( unlike say the Roland RD series - again - making scant use of physical buttons - expecting users to wade through a screen with navigation buttons etc etc... )



What arrangers also need these days is a piano roll midi editor. Now we have touch screens to not do so is archaic.

After listening to the Korg PA5X videos on you tube, NO, I'm not impressed. I hope and I trust that with these video demos, Yamaha, has to feel quite excited about what their new keyboard will have to offer with sound quality, and everything else. The jump from Tyros 5 to Genos, can't be taken for granted. It was a huge step, think about it. Do you expect anything less? Bring it on. The next Genos, will make everyone forget about the Korg PA5X, and the demos that are now being viewed. Yes it's normal to compare, Stay with Yamaha, they won't disappoint you.  Have they yet? Yes after the fact, their is always, wishing something was different. I guess that is life... Go Yamaha. Bring on genos 2, or whatever you call it...
