hello everyone I wanted to know if the signal of the sx700 is TRS balanced or not to buy the appropriate cables and to know if I need stereo or mono cables( one or  2) the interface incorporates two line inputs on the back if you could help me thanks

Hi Monsterlab,

all Line Outputs of PSR-SX models (as well as Genos, Tyros and PSR-S models) are unbalanced. So you MUST use unbalanced cables (TS).

If you would use a balanced cable (TRS) and connect it to a balanced Input of the Audio Interface or an external Mixer, the RING contact of the TRS plug is not connected internally in the SX700's Output jack. The balanced Interface/Mixer Input would expect a balanced signal, but it only gets the  + phase ("hot"). This means that the Input for the  - phase ("cold") is open, which can lead to humming, and the input signal is also 6 dB too weak.

By the way, in order to keep interference as low as possible, the unbalanced cables from the SX700 Main Outs to the Inputs of the Audio Interface should be as short as possible.

P.S.
If you want to use XLR Inputs on the Audio Interface, you have the following options:

1. TS to XLR male cable (unbalanced):
TS Tip > XLR pin 2
TS Sleeve > XLR pins 1 + 3 (bridged)

2. TRS to XLR male cable (originally balanced), but modified as follows:
- either TRS Ring + Sleeve bridged
- or XLR pins 1 + 3 bridged

3. Use a high-quality DI box:
- very short unbalanced cables (TS to TS) from the SX700 to the DI box and
- balanced XLR cables (XLR female to XLR male) from the DI box to the Audio Interface / Mixer Inputs

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

So if I understand it correctly, the correct way would be two cables that come out of the piano unbalanced and insert them into the two line inputs of the interface that you see in the photo?.
thank you for your patience

Yes, use two unbalanced (TS to TS) cables.

Connect the SX700's Main Output "L/L+R" jack to the Line Input 3 jack of the Focusrite and the Main Output "R" jack to Line Input 4. Make sure Input 3 is panned fully to the Left and Input 4 is panned fully to the Right in the DAW.

Of course, if you don't need the Inputs 1 & 2 on the FRONT of the Focusrite for microphones, you can connect the SX700 there as well (using the same "TS to TS" cables). In this case it is important that the red "INST" LEDs are NOT lit (i.e. the "Instrument" mode is NOT active).

Best regards,
Chris
