Hello, I am sorry if this has been asked and addressed previously, but I can not seem to find what I am looking for. Maybe a simple thing.  I am looking to mix two different multi-pads to call up for a particular style I am playing.   I would like the first multi-pad button to reflect Claps 1-2-3-4, the second to be Latinpop.  Then create a new Multi-pad call it DomMix and then call it up when ever I want to use it. I don't care about multi-pad buttons 3 & 4.  I can play them as i want them but when I try to save, the famous message saying that I can't save while the pads are executing comes up. So when I stop them, I loose the combination.    I am would assume that this has been done before?

      Regards! dom

dom,

It may help to read my article on Multi Pads. Use the link below  in my profile to access and download the tutorial.  It focuses on dance music but the techniques work with all music styles.  My tutorial covers copying Multi Pads on the keyboard from one pad to another, using the Pad Stopper file with registrations to sync start and sync stop one or more pads with each registration.  My article also covers using PC software as another method of creating new Multi Pads from two or more Multi Pad files using PadMaker-Midi.

Very easy to do. Select a multi pad bank you want to alter. Shall we say Claps in Drum section. Decide which one of these you want. Say it is Pad 1.  At the top of the page press Menu. Now press Multi Pad Edit and select Copy. Exit screen. Now select the Bank you want to save it on and the pad you want to save it to 1.2.3.or 4. Again select Menu Multi Pad Edit and press Paste. You will now be asked if you want to do this Say yes and you will now see the claps are now there. Now press save  and give it a new name.
  That's it All Done.

Joe, checked out the link, very nicely detailed, at the moment some stuff is over my head as I am just starting from basics, but very good info and like the screen shots.

Eileen, this is a quick and easy approach and does what I want.  I love simple things.

Thank you both for your support and resolution.   Much appreciated.

What Eileen described is also in my tutorial with screen shots.  I think in time you as you progress you will find benefit in the info I provide.
