Hi. I noticed a new feature in sx900. The range of octave change in this model, unlike previous models, is from -2 to +2. And the strange thing is, this feature is not done with the octave button on the panel. To do this, you must use the voice edit menu or voice setting menu. Voice edit=Common=Part Octave: change octave manually (-2 to +2)
Voice setting=Tune: change octave manually (-2 to +2)

This feature is on the other arranger too. As far as I remember.

Yes, in earlier models, the part octave for the keyboard parts can be set in the "Mixing Console" (tab "Tune") and in the "Voice Set" (tab "Common") displays. The panel buttons "Upper Octave" always affect all "Right" parts at the same time on all models.

Chris

So, why the octave range varies from -1 to +1 by pressing octave button in panel?

The "Upper Octave" panel buttons always affect, as just mentioned, all Right parts together, but in addition to the current octave setting in the "Voice Part Setup", "Voice Setting"or "Voice Edit" display (on earlier models, as mentioned, set in "Mixing Console" or in "Voice Set").

P.S.
To quickly reset "Upper Octave" value to zero, press these two buttons at the same time.

You can also press direct access and upper octave button and adjust the octave separately on all upper parts and lower left too I believe.

Yes, this calls up the "Voice Setting" display. :)
