Sounds like a common problem: Getting feedback. Using 4 mics with Pa. Looking at trying the two bose L1's out front of the band and the yamaha floor monitors facing the band. Anyone tried this?

With a pair of L1 Compacts and also using an L1 PAS system, and high quality mics, I never had a feedback problem. I used the Samson Q7, Sennheiser E855 and Crown CM 311A all with outstanding results and no feedback whatsoever. With a pair of L1 Compacts, I could easily entertain an audience of 200 people. With the L1 PAS, I performed to an audience of 1,000 in a big top tent in Ocean City, Maryland.

Good luck,

Best results with the L1 compacts behind and a little to the side of you.

Yes, Toril is absolutely correct on the position. No feedback, and you hear exactly what the audience hears. No monitors required.

L1's a little to the side behind you and about 3 ft. From a wall for better Bass response.

Exactly! Too close to the wall, and the bass booms and sounds bad.
