I'm thinking on adding a multi pedal controller for my Tyros 4 and I believe these are the ones to go.
What is the advantage of the MFC10 over the Behringer?
The FCB1010 has two expression pedals which I find very useful, since the Tyros can use up to 3 expression pedals in the MFC10 menu, allowing for much more expressiveness and control in sound volume, modulation, filter, etc for one or several parts.
The Behringer is much cheaper (both new and used) than the Yamaha and has an internal power supply.
What's your catch on this? Does the MFC10 have any significant advantage or is the FCB1010 the way to go?

Whisperdancer,

I use an MFC-10 and love it, but I believe they are no longer being made as Yamaha dropped them from their lineup.
You may be able to find one in stock or used somewhere.

The main advantage in the early days of the MFC-10 was that Yamaha made it easy to set it up on the Tyros 4 and 5 by having a section dedicated to it in the settings. This is no longer true with the Genos. Although it can still be setup it just takes a little more work to accomplish it. The Behringer will have to be set up manually on the Tyros 4 and 5 just like on the Genos. I am not to familiar with the Behringer so maybe someone else could help you on that, I am sure it is similar. It would be my next choice should something happen to my MFC-10.

If you decide on the MFC-10 and can find one message me I have the book and a video to help you set it up.

Thank you.

I'm from Europe, so it's better to buy it here.
I can get it cheaper than that, brand new with free shipping

Well, got a MFC10 for 90€. It works like a charm and has shown me that being almost plug and play is great. I don't know how to programm the pedals for other instruments, but for the T4 works exceptionaly well.
Now have a number of functionalities available which would be difficult to use otherwise.

Whisperdancer,

It's a great pedal board, you will get many years from it.
It is pretty straight forward connecting to the Tyros, but involves a little more work to connect to the Genos. You were lucky to find one, as they have been discontinued.

Enjoy,
