Hi guys,
Could someone offer some advice regarding styles for a CVP809 please? The ones I downloaded from this site for my 709 do not load. Should any tyros or genos styles work? Have to say though I regret changing it as I preferred the styles (too much reverb on the 809 ones), the main piano sounds but most of all the action. It now feels 'unnatural' and more like a keyboard.
Anyway, gripes aside, does the 809 use a different format?
Thanks,
JJ

No! All styles on this site will work on the CVP809. Have you unzipped the style folders?   Maybe the unzip program is at fault? The 809 did not make it to Norway. It seems like a wonderful instrument. I know how it feels to long for the old keyboard. Changing to a new instrument is hard. Hang in there! You will eventually love the 809!!

Genos, Tyros 5, PSR S975, PSR 2100
and PSR-47.

I have the CVP805 and all my previous styles from the CVP605 work perfectly.

You say you have the 709 and want to use styles from the 809.As this and Tyros now use revo drums they will not sound as good and will need tweaking to sound better.

I think it was the other way around, the 709 styles on the 809. That should work fine😀

@Subotai
Hi JJ,

If I understand correctly, you currently have a CVP-809. As has already been written, all available styles from other models should actually work properly on the CVP-809 (former CVP models, Genos, all Tyros models, all PSR-S and SX models).

I can only imagine two reasons why it doesn't work: Either you tried to load a zip archive (without unpacking it beforehand and then loading the individual style files it contains), or you tried to load Registration banks from other Load models. This is not possible directly, and even with the current version "5.11 Special" of the "Yamaha Registration Manager" it is currently not possible to convert Registrations into the CVP-809 format, as far as I know.

Best regards,
Chris
