Problem is trying to load any download from Yamaha genos site to a 8gb  usb stick then trying to load on Playlist.
I formatted stick on Genos.
Unzipped file through Yamaha download site.
I try to load in Genos ,all headings from stick will not load just dissappear.
Wonderful keyboard  but very frustrating software for a oldie !

Hi joner,

This thread is on "Superior Pack Issues". Your request is obviously more about PLAYLISTS. So in this case it would have been better if you had started a new thread or posted it in an existing thread on your topic ("Genos Playlists"). But here is my answer to your question: ;)

There are currently THREE free Playlists for the Genos from Yamaha:

1. Bonus Playlist for Genos
2. Yamaha Playlist " Discover Genos "
3. Bonus Playlist for Genos V2.0 Superior Pack

Q: Have you already downloaded all three Playlists?
Q: Does your problem basically affect ALL Playlists or is it a specific Playlist?

First of all, it is important that the current firmware (V2.02) is installed on your Genos. If you have not already done so, please check the display "Menu> Utility> System (page 1/1)> Version". If an older version is installed, you should first upgrade to V2.02.

Q: If you want to use the "Playlist for Superior Pack", the Superior Pack must of course also be installed on the Genos. Is this the case with you?

The basic procedure for using Playlists is as follows:

- Download the desired Playlist as zip file.

- Unzip the zip file on your computer and copy the contained folder into the root directory of the connected USB stick (NOT into a folder on the stick!). Important: If you created an additional folder (with the name of the zip file) when unzipping, this additional folder must NOT be copied to the stick!

- Connect the USB stick to the Genos. (It would be best if no other USB sticks are connected to the Genos at the same time.)

- Press the [Playlist] button to call up the Playlist display.

- Touch the Playlist file name (on top in the middle) to call up the Playlist File Selection display.

- Navigate to "User > USB1" to display the content of the USB stick. Then touch the desired Playlist folder.

- If you see subfolders, touch the desired folder to open it.

- Touch the Playlist file to LOAD it, and then close the display. (The folder "PlaylistForGenosV2SuperiorPack" does not contain any subfolders, so you will find the Playlist file directly in this folder.)

- Touch the desired Record name on the Playlist display, and then touch [Load]. The Registration registered as the Playlist Record is recalled, and you can start playing. :)

P.S.
Alternatively, you can load the Registrations inside the Playlist folders/subfolders DIRECTLY: In this case, you have to open the Registration Selection display (NOT Playlist). Then navigate into the desired folder on the USB stick (as mentioned above) and call up the desired Registration Bank.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
