PSR Voice Setting -Tune - Left Voice: Why is the default setting +1 octaves?

PSR SX700: Why is the Default Voice Setting for Tune for the LEFT Voice set to +1 octaves?
This setting puts the left voice octave at treble not base. There is a break in the scale progression from Left to Right.
The PSR SX700 Reference Manual on page 39 shows +1 octaves for Left as default.
Also why is Right 3 set t0 -1 octaves?

"Why" questions are for Yamaha. We can answer "how" questions.

Obviously, Yamaha thinks that's what the majority of users want.
