Thanks Julio. In order to download the files, do we have to register as member of Yamaha Brazil? I was trying to get the files but when making the registration they ask in what zone of Brazil I live.  :o

Regards!
👍🏻 Don't worry be happy!

Just enter your email and they will send you the link to the files. If you can't let me know that I forward to you.

bhergar56

Thanks Julio but it didn't let me, didn´t work. Once a click over the corresponding link, I receive a registration screen with obligatory fields, nome, sobrenome, email, estado, tel, edade and a few others. It doesn't let me register because I'm not a Brasilian resident.  ::)

Probably you could share those files in another way.

BACHATA BRASIL Expansion Pack

Genos: https://download.yamaha.com/files/tcm:39-1368163     cpf size: 22 MB; ppi contains only 5 Styles
PSR-SX900: https://download.yamaha.com/files/tcm:39-1368471     cpf size: 22 MB; ppi contains only 5 Styles
PSR-SX700: https://download.yamaha.com/files/tcm:39-1368491     cpf size: 22 MB; ppi size: 80 MB (!), contains 63 Styles (!)
PSR-SX600: https://download.yamaha.com/files/tcm:39-1368470     cpf size: only 1 MB; ppi contains only 5 Styles

There are obviously still various inconsistencies with these new BRAZIL packs. E.g. the size of the .cpf file in some cases does not match the corresponding .ppi file, and the number of styles it contains differs greatly between the different versions of a pack. I therefore suspect that the download files for these packs will be changed / corrected by Yamaha in the future.

P.S.
Here are the download links and file sizes of the "BRAZILIAN PACK 3" (these links were originally posted by Vali   >>> here):

Genos: https://download.yamaha.com/files/tcm:39-1368478    cpf size: 68 MB; ppi size: 54 MB, contains 31 Styles
PSR-SX900: https://download.yamaha.com/files/tcm:39-1368481    cpf size 67 MB; ppi size: 54 MB, contains 31 Styles
PSR-SX700: https://download.yamaha.com/files/tcm:39-1368485    cpf size 67 MB; ppi size: 112 MB (!), contains 89 Styles (!)

Does this proceed? Just one thing I didn't understand one thing ...

Why does BRAZILIAN PACK 3 for the sx700 have 89 styles and for the sx900 only 31?

And why the BACHATA BRASIL for the sx700 has 63 styles and for the sx900 only has 5?

I didn't understand, because the sx900 has more space for memory ...

Hi Julio,

I downloaded these Packs using the links above. So far I haven't imported any of the Packs into the YEM, but only extracted the Styles from the .ppi files provided (with the help of the "StyleExtractor" program). It is possible that some of these .ppi files "mistakenly" contain multiple Packs (and therefore contain so many styles).

As I said, there are obviously still some inconsistencies with some of these Packs. In any case, in some cases the content of the .cpf does not match that of the .ppi.

I also don't know why these .ppi files and also the .pqi files (Quick Pack Installation files) are included in the zip files at all. If you install a .ppi file on the keyboard, all previous Expansion content is deleted. Therefore nobody actually "needs" these .ppi (and also .pqi) files.

Anyway: At least this way you have access to the mentioned STYLES ... ;-)

P.S.
Maybe if you register for these Packs on the Yamaha website in Brazil, you will get OTHER ("better") download links. If you download these new Brazilian packs for YOUR keyboard in this way, please write here which files (including file size) are contained in the zip files!

Best regards,
Chris

Enildo

It was the first time, in more than 20 years playing yamaha keyboards, that I see Brazilian styles with a real Brazilian style.
I cannot say that they are 100%, but you have to recognize that this time there is a lot of good and authentic things.
Some styles require adjustments, but this is the least. The old pack (Brazilian_S970), brought some improvements, it is true, but this one brings much more.
What Yamaha has to keep doing is this, hiring real musicians in each country, because they know what is good and what is not good.
Not wanting to belittle it, but putting a Japanese to record Mexican styles doesn't make much sense.
Another point: I don't know why Yamaha still uses old drum kits (StandardKit1) to record new styles.

Very good Yamaha !!!

Another point: Yamaha, please, when launching a new pack, replace the image with a new one and not just the name.
So much work when making all the voices and styles and save on the simplest thing!
Okay, I know that Brazil is well known for football, but even today I don't know what has to be this player kicking the ball,
in this image, and my Yamaha keyboard! hehehehe ;D

Hi Enildo,
hi Denny,

this message ...

... normally means that the .cpf file you are trying to import into the YEM was created for another instrument (whose .n27 Instrument Info file is not currently in the YEM). So please make sure that the .cpf file used was actually created for the instrument used. (For example, an SX700 .cpf cannot be used with an SX900.)

If the problem persists, I recommend to download the Pack again (delete the previous downloaded zip file from this Pack before to avoid confusion), unzip again and try to import the cpf into the YEM again. I also had problems with one of the linked zip files (unfortunately I no longer know which pack is exactly). After another download, the content of the zip file was ok.

And, of course, be sure to use the right version of the Pack for your instrument.

P.S.
Two questions to both of you:
- Did you download the Packs using the links here in this forum thread or did you register on the Brazilian Yamaha website and then received the download links from Yamaha?
- If the latter is the case, are these the same links as posted here, or have you received other links from Yamaha?

Best regards,
Chris

Hi Enildo,
hi Denny,

I just tried to import the SX900 version of the "Bachata Brasil" Pack into YEM without success. Since I do not own an SX900, I have only a relatively old SX900 Instrument Info file (.n27).

Please make sure to have installed the latest Firmware (V1.05) on your SX900. As a precaution, export the Instrument Info file from the SX900 again to a USB stick, delete the previous Install Target "PSR-SX900" in the YEM, and then re-import the current .n27 file into the YEM.

The import of the relevant Pack may then work.

Chris

Hello ;D
I extracted the styles (ppi with StyleExtractor).
I have 74 styles in total, 9 of which are Classic styles.
They all work great on Tyros 4. They only need to be adapted to the Tyros 4 - Mixing Console capabilities.
The styles are great.
Thank you  overover and valimaties.
Best wishes.

Thanks for the feedback, Enildo!

This confirms my assumption that these packs are somehow "not quite finished". Yamaha will surely fix the bug(s), the only question is how long this will take ...

I had to use the Style Stractor, which was suggested by colleagues here on the forum.
My sincere congratulations to yamaha, this time you hit the target!

Chris I did this but that did not work either.
I just tried to download the Bachata File again now, it no longer has the ppi file or the other one.
Just the CPF File in the Zip now. This was from the Brazil Yamaha site & Yamaha Emailed the Link.

Thank You

Hi Denny,

thank you for the detailed feedback!

Both of these links were previously posted in this thread: The first link (...1368471) is "SX900 Bachata Brasil", the second link (...1368481) is "SX900 Brazilian Pack 3".

Thank you for this additional information. I will also check the DL links again ...

Edit:
I checked all available DL links for these two Packs again:

So far nothing has changed, i.e. in addition to the .cpf files, the zip files also contain .ppi and .pqi files. The mentioned "wrong" .ppi files (of the SX700 versions), which contain "too many" styles, are still contained in the downloaded zip files.

Hi Chris

You are right, sorry about that I thought the last link I got from Yamaha was for
the Bachata but I guess it was for Brazilian Pack 3. They don't say in the Email
what it's for, if it does I can't read it. ;D

I just tried registering at the Brazil site again now & clicked the link for Bachata
SX900, downloaded it & tried to install in YEM still no go.
