Yamaha music soft website has removed midi files...

andyg

There are many sites selling MIDI song files, some better than others. On the rare occasion I need a MIDI track, I go 'down under' to Australia! https://www.midi.com.au/ They're good!

Not XG, but that's really not needed (unless for some reason you have to have XG compatibility) as the keyboard should revoice the song and, in any case, anyone wanting really good playback of a MIDI file will surely revoice it, remix it and change digital effects to make the most of what their keyboard can do and to get the sound that they themselves want. 'Out of the box' doesn't cut it! :)
It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

Another website where I can buy or download midi files for my PSR S770?

andyg

A google search for midi song files just brought up dozens - some free (and mostly useless) and some paid for. Song Galaxy is another good one.

So I'd suggest you try some! Only you can decide if you like them - the good ones offer mp3 clips of their songs to let you judge the quality.

Hi rock123456789,

simply go to "www.google.com", type in search terms like midi files and click on the magnifier icon. You will find many commercial MIDI file sites.

Here is an example Google search for you:
>>> https://www.google.com/search?q=midi+files

Best regards,
Chris

The songs are in alphabetical order. If you want lyrics, they have that also. Just find the ones you like and put them on a USB stick.

I found a copy of the DVD on my computer.  You can do a search by artist or song and find what you want quickly.  There are over 10,000 song files in 4 formats including GM, GM2, XG and Kar.  There are also some books and older Yamaha style files on the disk.

There is a lot for the price.

Yes they are the best with chords and lyrics and also a style made from the midi file
They are mixed for all Tyros models and Genos
I make also a special mix with a guide track without lyrics written like
C---- ---- ---- ----
F---- ---- A----- ----
