I wonder if I can use a USB stick into the PSR E403 to load more SF1 file's.

Hi Marc,

the PSR-E403 has no USB to device socket, so you cannot use a USB stick.

You CAN use external Styles on the E403, but this is relatively cumbersome: You have to connect the E403 to your PC with a USB cable. The "Yamaha Musicsoft Downloader" program must be installed on the PC. This allows you to transfer one or more SFF1 Style files from the PC to the (very small!) internal flash memory of the E403. (The maximum file size per Style is limited to only 50 KB!)

There is only one single User-Style memory location on the E403. This means that you now have to call the "SFF Load" function in order to load (and play) ONE of the Styles previously transferred from the computer to Style number 156.

Best regards,
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

Thanks Chris,

I know all that. But my flash memory is full. I have a cable that fits into the USB type B and the opposite is for USB 3.0. I have to use a USB 3.0 in and out device.
So that's why I wash thinking about using SFF1 files on a USB memory stick type 3.0
