I see I can access GM and XG voices in a style, but those folders don't exist when choosing a RH voice!

Any way around this?

Watch a video showing the solution. The video description includes GM XG voices that you can download.

Genius solution to favorite them.  :D

But why the heck are they hidden in the first place...

Only Yamaha knows the reasons.  ;D
There is also a folder with GS instruments, but it cannot be reached in this way either. They only play when MIDI is created in the GS (Roland) standard.

You can also copy all of the GM, GM2, and XG voices to your User drive. They don't take up much space.

Hi.

I am the same question.

I watch the video on youtube and as I'm a recent Genos1 owner (before I use PSR-SX900), I didn't understood how the folders GSM or XG appears in your Preset area screen.
Tipically on PSR-SX900 they exists, but on my Genos they are missing.

That hidden file that I could downloaded are from GSM or from XG folders?

Thank you in advance for the help.

Greetings.

You can find "hidden" voices from Style Creator. (And only Style Creator.)

Go into Style Creator. Select "Rec Channel". Tap one of the channel instrument icons. You should see a familiar voice selection list/page. Hit the up arrow in the lower right corner of the screen. Use P1, P2, and P3 to browse through the voice category folders. There you will find: Legacy, MegaVoice, StyleVoice, GM&XG, and GM2.

My guess -- Yamaha thinks these voices are only useful (or needed) when editing a style.

Have fun -- pj
