Hi
I was in a band in my younger days but have kept in touch with 2 members all my life
We would like to play together again one more time VIRTUALLY
We have 0ne person with digital drums , another with bass guitar and his son with lead guitar and myself with my Tyros 5

Anyone out there can advise how we can record a song or 2  Which format would we have to use?   can we mix using what?
I saw Take that did something on Zoom

I should add the drummer is in Australia  so we have to do it virtually
Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris.

I didn't do that anytime, but I have some ideas.

First, your drummer must record the drum - it's the first thing, because all other musicians must follow the drum beat tempo (timing)...

After that, with the drum ready, everyone can play and record alone (listening to the drum beat in a phone).
I suggest the following order after drums: bass, tyros 5, guitar and finally vocals (if have).

For better quality, I prefer to use WAV (is bigger, but clean) - you can also convert to high quality MP3 (more then 256).

After that, you need a software like Apple iMovie, Adobe Premiere and so on to mix everything...

It's what I would try .... Timing (tempo) is the most important question here.

If you want I can do the mixing for all of the tracks on my software.
