Hello Friends

Do you know a way to do this .. . . . ?

I have several registrations  . . . .. . with each registration saved a midi file into Song A.   The midi files are saved in a folder labeled 'PDF_Midis'.   The way I understand this is that the registration is registering a link or pointer to the midi file.

Now, i want to no longer associate any midi file to this registration(s).  I want the registration to no longer point to this midi file in Song A, i know i can do that by deleting the midi, but i do not want to delete the midi file,  I simply want the registration to no longer be associated with any midi file.

I know i can create a dummy midi, etc. but what i really want is my registration to simply have a blank space in Song A .. . . .

How can you do that ?

This is not a do or die thing.   . . . . so, not looking for a workaround . . . . I just think there must be a way to do that . . . . that I have not been able to find . . . . . restore Song A in registration to a blank space

Stay well

thanks in advance.

1. Activate the registration in which you have the song
2. Delete song from Song player (video)
3. Rewrite the registration with the new Song settings

This way you will not delete the song from the PDF_midi folder.

You simply re-memorize the registration ensuring the Song box is unchecked.

Ckobu and Fred

Thank you so much for your answer.

I will try them both methods as soon as I get back to my keyboard.

It is appreciated.

I had this issue as well.  In fact, some of my lesser used registrations still have a midi attached, because I haven't gotten around to clearing it out.

Just remember, that if a Song A is showing, and the next registration doesn't have Song checked, Song A will continue to show the midi file.

To clear it from the display, press the white "Song" button twice, then press exit.

Why bother turning off and on the keyboard? It's an unnecessary step.

The midi is still loaded, just like it would be if you loaded it manually.

But the registration is updated when you save it. There's no need for a restart.

Pressing the white 'Song' button twice, then exit will unload the midi.

In addition to Fred's helpful guidance on unchecking the song from the registration AND making sure to save the whole registration bank after re-memorizing the registration, this is what I was looking for to get the song out of the player! Thank you!
