I have downloaded lots of Styles from this Forum and some of the 4/4 styles seem to lack accent on the 1st and 3rd beat of the bar and I have used them to play a waltz with my right hand.. I am wondering if anyone else has tried to do this. I would very much appreciate  some comments on this.

I think that I should have "said 'Lack a noticeable accent"

Haven't noticed that, but even if true, there is more to the style than just the beat accent. There are phrases and other sounds which also time to the 4 beats, so would not have thought that they would work well for 3/4. But do whatever works for you. If that works well, then use it by  all means.

I have found some styles harder to follow, because of the lack of a pronounced downbeat. But to me that's part of the more subtle style design.

But I haven't found and 4/4 styles that I could play a waltz to.

I would find it very strange trying to play a 4/4 style to 3/4 as you would always be a beat or two out with the style which you would notice with the bass not being in sync as well. There are lots of lovely waltz's to be had so I would always stick to them.

One of the great things about this Forum is that sometimes I put up an idea that something is possible and a member or several members will say ''Why would you want to do this? "Or a much better idea would be to do this." And those comments lead me towards things I would never have known about. So thanks . That is how I learn.
