Hi,  Please could someone tell me using button presses rather than menus as I am totally blind, how to save a new song I've created.  I cannot work out what to do, and therefore keep losing my songs I sit and create.  Thanks.

Which keyboard do you have, and when you say song do you mean a midi or an audio file? We need that information to give an answer.

Hi Sharon,
Here are the steps for a midi recording.
Midi recording means that the song will play nice only on your keyboard.
You use the upper left side of buttons on your keyboard, next to ON/OFF button.
It is the third row of little buttons.

Quick MIDI Recording
Steps on the PSR-S950/S750:

Press the SONG [REC} button and the [STOP] button simultaneously -- this sets up a blank song for recording.
Third row of buttons, buttons 1 and 2 from the left

    Press the SONG [REC] button.
Third row of buttons,button 1
Recording starts as soon as you play a note on the keyboard, start Style playback, or start Multi Pad playback.

Press the SONG [STOP] button to end recording.
Third row of buttons, button number 2
Press the [PLAY/PAUSE] button to play back your recording.
Third row of buttons, button number 3.

Save your recorded performance as a song.
Press the SONG [SELECT] button to call up the SONG display screen.
First row of buttons, button number 1.

Use the [TAB] key to move to the USER or USB area where you want to save the song.
these 2 little buttons are at upper right side of the screen

Press the SAVE option (button [6] under your screen at the second row) to bring up the file naming box.
        Give your song a name.
Press the OK (button [8] under your screen at the second row) to complete the SAVE operation.

Audio recording
For creating a song in a WAV format(Audio recording)  that can play on another device, for example on a personal computer, you use the upper right side of buttons at your keyboard.

a) Press the usb audio recorder button which is the second button starting from right at the upper right side of your keyboard.
(the one that is closer to the screen and not the far right.)

b) press number 1 button of the upper or lower row of buttons under the screen(REC).

c) press number 3 button of the upper or lower row of buttons under the screen(PLAY).
(now the keyboard starts the recording)

d) start to play your song immediately

e) when you finish press number 2 of the upper or lower row of buttons under your screen(STOP).

The song now is saved automatically on the usb stick with the name "Audio number  xxx wav".

Here is a video with the process if someone can help you at home and can show you the buttons:

Oh many thanks, that was most helpful.

I'm using the psrs975, so hopefully that should work similarly on there.

Many thanks, and I really appreciate you taking the time to tell me the steps using buttons rather than the display.
