Hi

Is it possible to transpose a voice up or down by octave and save it that way so they can be used as either panel voices or style voices in different transposition octaves?

Thank You

Janus

Yes in a style editor
Transpose the track with the voice  1 octaaf up or down

Cant be done unless you first clear the part and then reply it in the octave you want.

You can save voices set to different octaves by using the voice editor (formerly called voice set). The file when saved is known as a user voice and when you load it in the keyboard to Left, R1, 2 or 3 it will be set to the octave you saved.
However styles ignore Voice Set edits so these files are no good for styles. Taking it to the extreme you could take a suitable voice that is editable in YEM (eg for an organ pedal voice) and set the wave element(s) up or down by 12 semitones. After saving and installing back to the keyboard you would then have a voice saved with a custom octave that will be recognised by styles.
If it becomes necessary to alter style octaves people generally seem to prefer to use 3rd party software Mixmaster if they are already familiar with it, or in some cases alter the min and max note limits in the CASM (per Jorgen).

OK thanks. I thought it worked that way. I am learning a few Style Editors.

Thanks for the helpful info.

It all depends on what you really want to change. Well instructed by @jwyvern. You can change the tone base in YEM, but if it is played an octave lower in Styles then you need to fix it in Styles.
Watch a couple of videos on how to do this and choose the method that works best for you.
