Hello keyboard playing and car driving friends!
I don't have a car, so when I gig people drive me to the venue in their cars, often not so large cars! Or I take taxi.
I have the Genos and the Yamaha Genos bag with wheels.
Haven't dared take it out on gigs yet, so I use my S975, that fits nicely in the cars. Will I have difficulties fitting the Genos in a car?

Yes, you will. I have a large size sedan, and the Genos on its own (no bag) takes up the entire width of the back seat.

The wheels are all about surplus if you put Genos in the back seat. I have a Renault Scenic and a Gator bag without wheels.

Hi Toril

Maybe you should send a request to Yamaha

Next Genos or whatever they call it..A folding keyboard, now that would be an evolution, and very popular  :) :) :) :)

Toril, I transported all my gear in a Dodge Grand Caravan, with Stow and Go back seats. Had all the room I needed for my gear, and 4 more passengers if needed. I still drive that car today and I have 170,000 miles on it. Runs like a Swiss Watch!

Can you load the Genos from the open door behind driver and place it in diagonal?
I mean on passenger seat and the seat behind driver. You need to lower the back of passenger seat down, I guess.

Genos easily fits in any suv.. Seat down.... Or most cars rear seat down from trunk straight in.

Here is Toril on the way to her gig, if the gig takes many hours. Then I need:
1. Myself (often I almost forget!)
2. My keyboard
3 My Bose
4 my stands for keyboard and microphone
5 My bag
6 One Labrador Retriever
7 One Golden/lab mix
8. Their bag with soft padding to slepp on, water bottle, bowl and such
9. My old accordion! (If power fails I can still play!)
10 Good spirits.

Do I need a BUS? :)

Here in Texas you would buy a large PICKUP TRUCK and install a "camper cover" over the truck's "bed".

My alternative is a Toyota Highlander but back seats have to be laid flat to accommodate "the essentials"....which in my case is similar to your list but no dogs (too many allergies!).

Hi Toril, a large car is not needed for what you are taking. My previous car was an Infiniti Q30 (a medium size family hatchback) The boot (Trunk) had 2 x QSC Active speaker, a medium sized cable case plus pedals and mics, a two tiered keyboard stand, 2 x steel speaker poles, a boom stand, music stand,a small suitcase for stage wear and a collapsible trolley on wheels. The Genos fitted just about across the back seat. You should be OK if you can push your passenger seat back as far as possible and managed to fit your beautiful Labrador at your feet.
Good luck

Yes, last gig the person driving me there had a Honda. Genos fitted in the back seat. All other gear also fitted in the trunk. The dogs stayed at home😀
