How to increase mic volume?

Hello friends.
The mic volume on my 975 is way too low. I have turned the gain knob at the back of the keyboard all the way up, but still too low. I have got some pictures of mic settings, but I don't see them! I also have difficulty seeing the small mic/guitar options on the keyboard. And frankly, I don't understand much ot these settings. Could someone just tell me where I adjust volume in these settings, I don't see a mic volume, just a lot of other stuff. I know an option is to turn down the style volume, but maybe I can get a solution without doing that? When I sing, the style overpowers my voice, the voice is too febble. I also sound like I have a cold, it is awful!

I turned down the style volume to 70. It helped, but still not happy. Need more reverb I think.

I have the master volume STYLE set at 68 - 70 (no higher than 70 ever). My MIC is set at 103 and at 99 when there is a backup singer with me.

do you know where to adjust and save your reverb? I have a registration I use and load each time I start up the keyboard.

Toril S

Thanks Drake. I have not found where do adjust reverb yet.

Hi Toril,

I posted this link for you already in another question you posted about the microphone.

In this video at 5:33 you will see the REVERB setting knob in the lower right hand corner. I use a setting of 16 percent minimum and up.

You just need to be sure to save your mic settings to a registration.

Hi Toril,

This is the same problem I ran into when I first got my S975, and a very long thread on/around this topic ensued.
If you read through it, you will find your solutions, which I highlighted in one or more of the entries. I think the thread
can be accessed through this link:

Good luck!

Toril,

When I had the Tyros 5 I had to adjust the final output level in the mic settings, you can find this on page 102 of the ref. Manual under mic compressor settings.

Press direct access, Mic Settings/Vocal Harmony , make sure mic is set to on (button F) then adjust the OUT knob in the compressor section.

This worked for me.
