Hello friends.
I just wonder if I can use registrations created on my Tyros5 on my S975? The idea is that I put all regs on a USB device, and use the same setup on both keyboards. I mostly use user styles, and they usually sound the same on both instruments, but not always, so I sometimes have to make two versions. I don't use registrations all that much, but for some songs it is practical!

You will need to convert the registrations. Murray Best"s Registration Manager is the best tool.

Don't be afraid, Murray's program works like a dream and does it all (almost) for you.

How would a Mac user be able to take advantage of Murray's software to convert a registration?
Obviously one way would be to go to a friend who has a PC.  :)
Other than that, if I get software that lets my Mac emulate a PC, would that work?

Ed B

Yes it would if you run windows virtually

Shame it work on my Mac . Is there a similar program that will run on a Mac

Geoff:

I don't know of anyone who has spent thousands of hours analyzing the registration file (there's no documentation), setting up keyboard data for 20 keyboards and writing this program especially for a small market like the MAC.

You have two choices:

Get Oracle Virtual Machine and install it on your MAC, buy a copy of Windows to install in the virtual machine, then install YRM.  Apparently it works but not as well as it does on a PC.

Second choice, get a used laptop with Windows to run YRM.

One can do without most things, but not without the pleasure of music.
