Hi All,

Is it possible to change the volume level of individual tracks while playing a file in MM and record those changes live and then save the to the original file ? similar to the automation features in some DAWS ?
and if so how do it do it ?

All the best,  Brian007

Hello Brian,

Sorry but this is not possible in "live" play.

What is possible :
1 : the instrument (Yamaha keyboard) needs to be connected to your PC via USB.
2 : MixMaster manual page 7 explains the settings for the Yamaha driver that need to be set.
(Attention : the manual is not fully updated for the latest version of MixMaster v19r1).
If the driver is set this way the sliders in Mixer View are responding to changes directly to the instrument while playing the midi file, but these changes cannot not be recorded in live play.
3 : If you would like to have some setting on a specific M:B:T time you STOP playing the midi file, make changes to the sliders and then click on the Mixer Record icon (little camera) in the main screen. The slider settings are then saved into the midi file at "Now M:B:T" time.
4 : Or you change the "Now M:B:T" time to the desired time, set the sliders and then "Mixer Record".

This procedure is explained on page 9 in the manual (Recording to the current file).

Thank you for your interest in MixMaster.
Regards
Etienne
