I got a Tyros 5/61 today!

Hello friends
Today I got a very good offer on a T5 61 keys model, so I broke down and bought it!!! It looks as new, not a scratch on it! There is a worn patch on the sub's grill cover, that is all. No stand, no extension card, but the keyboard looks as if it came out of the factory today! It has been used only at home. I am super happy with everything, but I have to get used to the bulk of it! It is a big beast, in more than one way. I am going to set it up now. Wish me luck

Although I have not posted for a while I have  been following your problems with your s970,and I hope you will soon get it back home.

Congratulations with T5 it is a great keyboard,I had aT5/76 before I got my Genos,I am confident you will soon find your way around it,it has some great sounds and styles.You will enjoy it I'm sure

No, Babette, my S970 is not back yet. But I am going to keep it. It is convenient to have a smaller keyboard also, that easily can be moved around. I have ordered a wheeled bag for my T5, so that I can take it out on gigs if I feel that I want all the bells and whistles. I mostly play at home. I love the T5, and is going to set it up now. I just came home, and had to tell you friends before I did anything else. I have to get used to its bulkiness, but it is not much heavier than my S970.

so that's what I could hear from the north side of the mountains when I took a short trip outdoor?
If the northern light (Aurora Polaris) shows up and you keep playing, it would be amazing and magic.

Thank you all my good friends. It is hard to go away from the keyboard, but the dogs are asking for their evening walk. I fear I will be sitting up this night (with earphones)! Fantastic sound, I love the feel of the keys, and the silver finish and oldfashioned buttons without that awful rubber feel. And it looks new, not a scratch on it! Glad I did this!

Hi Tori...just got me one too last month. It is so awesome .I had a T3, T4 and now a T5 ...sooooo much power and so much more dynamic than the others that I had . I wanted the Genos butt I wanted the old format ......getting to many senior moments to learn the new Genos . So YAY for you. Please share your experiences with all of us here..... cant wait  !!!
