Norman,

It is perhaps best to ask your questions directly in your topic.
It gives the reader(s) the chance to see if they can help you.

Etienne

The Problem I'm facing,

I want a Certain Channel ( Drum Kit)
The Individual Instruments ( E.g Hi Hat on the left Speaker,
Kick Drum on the Right Speaker)
This is Possible on Style Creator.
The settings gets saved on Song Creator / Midi.   if I record it.

I've experiment using Just two Notes in the Drum Kit.
Kick on the Right Side and Hi Hat on the Left Side ( Speaker) Using Style Creator
On Song Creator I didn't see the Pan Settings for the Voice
Although Control 10 is a command (CC) "My Filter Settings are adjusted
What I want to do is
To get a midi to have the same Effect

Midi made from the PC

The Mixing Console will just pan the whole Drum Kit to One side.

"If the Multi Part Parameter "Rcv PAN" is OFF,  the part ignores this message. Applies relative change to the pan of each instrument in the rhythm part." Got this from a PDF

If this Information isn't enough
I'll break it down little bit more.

Norman,

There's a way to do this with MixMaster every (drum) note can be set as disired, but I think it's a hell of a job.

Which keyboard do you have?

S770 onwards (incliding Genos) have the drum setup feature which will let you do this on the keyboard itself. For earlier models you need to use something like mix master.

I was able to get it done on Style Creator,

But if I create a Midi say using Musescore
Then use Song Creator
How do I get it done ??

Hi Norman,

the PAN of particular Drum notes can be changed by using SysEx messages. These SysEx can be found in the Data List book of your keyboard model (downloadable from Yamaha website).

But it is relatively difficult to work with those SysEx commands (e. g. in a DAW on PC). Directly on the keyboard (in Event List) one can only copy, move or delete SysEx, but NOT create new SysEx "from the scratch".

As mentioned before, you can use MixMaster for this. I created a screenshot with the needed "clicks" in "List View" window:

Best regards,#
Chris
● Everyone kept saying "That won't work!" - Then someone came along who didn't know that, and - just did it.
● Never put the Manual too far away: There's more in it than you think! ;-)

You can also do the kit panning from MixMaster's Drum Edit window.

Open your file, depress Drum Edit, select the note, then Insert New Event, select Pan and the position (L--R) and OK.

Michael
