Vali Maties - Genos

Jean-Pierre 33

Hello Valimatie,

Sorry, I understand better why the price is lower.
But this link works  http://i66.tinypic.com/devk10.jpg

Best regards

I'm curious to hear the "Tape Instrument" aka Mellotron sample that's included here....has anyone found a demo for it?

Tankdave

I tried the clearly advertised "24/7" Yamaha chat facility so I could let them know about the links not playing and I got a message that the chat function was not available.   :o

The sounds to the links are now working but don't expect too much. They are basically short clips with a limited variety of sounds and therefore you really don't get a good feel for what the expansion pack will sound like in its entirety.

KApro Famous Sounds

PS: Here is the latest new expansion pack from Easy Sounds called "Organ Session" for the Genos and for the Tyros 5. The demos for this expansion pack are of a greater variety and sound wonderful in my opinion and they also give you a better idea of what it will sound like in person.

All the best,

Good points Mike.

I would like to add that the Easy Sounds Organ pack is not only a better set of demo files, its at a more down to earth price too.

svpworld

A bit expensive for what are very 'unique' sounds.  In case you aren't aware, you can easily import sound font (sf2) files into YEM and transfer them to the Genos.  There's a very good set of free Mellotron patches available in soundfont format that you can create your own expansion pack from and import.

Just saw this thread but just quick question, are these packs sounds only and not styles?

The Organ Session pack includes 70 expansion voices, multi-samples, plus 160 registrations linked to preset styles. The registrations use preset styles but you can use any styles with the registrations if you like. So the answer to your question is, there are no styles included with the expansion pack.

I am just curious,  this pack includes 160 registrations . . . .. linked to preset styles.

what does that mean . . . . ?

To clarify, I know what a registration is. I use them all the time on my keyboard to register to keyboard memory.  So, i know what it is in that context.    I just do not know what i could do with their 160 registrations . . . . what is the purpose ?

Can someone enlight me.

thanks in advance.
