I took a 1080P 2.59:1 aspect ratio video of Genos factory demo and posted it on Youtube for the convenience of potential Genos buyers who have difficulties in finding local stores for Genos demo:
https://youtu.be/kuI3kVaqMiE

The stereo audio track of the above video was recorded through a Zoom H4N digital recorder with direct unbalanced connections from Genos.

PS:  I edited the video to zoom in a bit to get rid of the black bars on the left and right sides for better viewer experience.

Thanks,
Paul

Here a Digital Output Recording

Hi Wim,

Thanks for posting your wave file.

I listened to your clip and found that the volume was kind of tiny.  Out of curiosity, I downloaded your 130-MB WAV file, opened it in Audacity and compared it to my 30-MB 320kbps MP3 file acquired through the analog unbalanced outputs of Genos.   Here is the visual difference at roughly about the same spot of the Genos factory demo, beginning of the "Orchestral" section, your digital WAV file on the left, my analog MP3 file on the right:

I wonder what hardware and software you used.  I used a cheap Zoom H4N digital recorder directly connected to Genos analog unbalanced main outputs.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul

I have used my very old PC with digital input.
Made a recording with program Sound Forge Pro 10.0
I normalized the file with Sound Forge also
There is a high peak in the the Rock demo first fill-in, that's the loudest spot.
I think there is no compressor working thru the digital out.
When I cut off that peak it will much louder overall after normalizing

Your recording begins very loud and then drops the sound level.
May be it's the auto level control on your recording device.

Wim

Hi Win,

Thanks for your information.

I found that when I used a direct box between Genos and my recording device, the amplitude of the sound track was kind of more 'normalized', more recording friendly.

Genos unbalanced outputs -> Radial ProD2 balanced XLR outputs -> Zoom H4N

Radial ProD2 stereo direct box used on the left, direct unbalanced connection on the right:

I found the demo video a bit shaking at times despite the use of video stabilization, heavy mount, and super heavy Benro S8 Pro video head with matching heavy tripod.  I wonder if the subwoofer of the Genos speaker was shaking up the floor - should have turned the speakers off during recording.
