youtube to mp3 ?

Hello Friends

For years I have been using this free link to convert audio from YouTube to mp3.

This was virus free, add free. Unfortunately, it looks like the link is no longer working.   I found other free on-line converters but they are ridden with problems like virus, adds, etc.   

does anyone know of a reliable free youtube to mp3 converter . . . . . ?

Here are 3 sites I have used with no issues. I do use Firefox with the FREE addon Adblock Plus (ABP) which blocks popup ads. This free addon is offered at the Firefox site as well, just add it to your Firefox browser.

I use Audacity, which if free and has no viruses.
Here is the link for instructions on how to do it.

This will convert it to a WAV file when you export.
To be able to convert to MP3 you will need this add on.

This is also a safe download.
Audacity which many of you know,  can do a lot of different things, including taking the vocals out of a song, in which you can make a Multipad out of and play along with the original singer. Not sure what keyboards can do this, but it works on Tyros 5.
The results on this feature vary, as to how the song was originally recorded.

Thanks for Audacity links, I lost this program on a recent windows 7 crash.
So used your download suggestion but I recall I need the plug in LAME does anyone know where I can download from please.
