Hi all,

Would it be ok to site HS8 speakers or equivalent about 4 or 5 meters away from the keyboard (SX920)?
(The set up will include Yamaha KS-SW100).
I would like them at this distance because the keyboard will be used for playing music using the Bluetooth audio during the day, and thus not solely for playing the keyboard...
Thanks
Steve

I spent way too much time and money trying different monitors and setups over several years.  All the reviews, the "experts" opinions and conventional wisdom mean little to me now.  All that matters is what you hear and feel about your kit which means making decisions with no guarantees.  I have HS8s.... they are now on the floor, sitting on carpet, not pointed at my pointy head and I finally have the sound that I want.  So I'm doing it all wrong and someone else might think it's a waste but it's right for me.  These monitors are super powerful, that's all I can say.

Well-said. All too often we strive for perfection.  Even if you were to buy the most expensive speaker available it NOT mean they will sound better in YOUR room.

Hey thanks everyone for the replies...
Should have the 920 and KS-SW100 sub in the next few days. I will set up without buying the HS8s and see what I think. The sound is quite important to me as I currently use Sonos for my music, which is quite good. I have reconfigured and moved some of the Sonos speakers around to essentially use when watching TV only (new Sonos sub on the way to create a 5:1 system). No more music through the Sonos.
For this reason my next keyboard needed to have BLE.
If I feel its needed, I will buy HS8s.
Cheers guys,
Steve
