Genos Super Art 2

I'm having difficulty getting to grips with Super Articulation.
For example on the Genos, and using the Sax as an example, I can't get anywhere near the sounds Yamaha demonstrates for the instrument. At the end of the Sax demo for example, there is what appears to be a slur, reducing in volume. Instructions also show when two notes are played with 'velocity' various effects are achieved?
However, I appreciate these demos are effected by professionals, (I find even the You Tube vids to not go to those depths.)
Any advice would be most appreciated....

On my G2, if using the S.Art 2 'Smooth Tenor Sax' and pressing two or more notes together it does in fact produce a slight slur, however I believe the effect varies somewhat based on a persons particular playing style. It sound like you have already gone through the User manual (page 71) and Reference manual (page 37) regarding using the S.Art buttons, but it may still be worth taking a look at the example Youtube video linked below (if you haven't already done so):

I have seen that video, as well as (I assume) most others regarding the subject.
The slur I mentioned was perhaps the wrong description. It relates to the end of the note as it dies away, there is a kind on low level rasp which I've not heard previously & I certainly can't replicate.!

Which particular sax voice did you use?

Big band alto sax, Tenor sax, Big band tenor sax. All have the same nuisance as the final note tails away..

I listened to the Jazz demo 'BigBandTenorSax' section but unfortunately I was not able to hear the low level type rasp you mentioned. I did try to replicate the sound on the three voices you mentioned but again, I was unable to produce such an effect.

Sorry I can't be of further help, but I did try.

Don't forget about the 3 S. Articulation buttons on the far left of the keyboard.  Basically, they offer 3 starting articulations, if you press them before the note, and 3 ending articulations, if you press them while holding the note.  Maybe the effect that you heard is from one of them?
