Hi All

im trying to sync sx900 style playback tempo with Remixlive android app(app supports ableton link)

At first To Sync the tempo with the android app i tried to send the tempo from keyboard to ableton(pc), Using ableton Link tried to Sync with the android app. but Unfortunately ableton didnt work with ext clock and link at a same time.

So i used android app "link to midi bridge" to send tempo from remixlive to keyboard, Here both the apps connected, Connected the mobile to keyboard in Host Terminal, changed the clock settings to midi, the link to midi bridge app sends the midi signal but sx900 didnt receive it or didnt trigger the style, anybody help me how to trigger the style from the app or from ableton?

Hi Lazarselva,

To work with External MIDI Clock, set "Clock" to "External" in the MIDI Settings (Menu > MIDI > System > page 1/2).

To make incoming FA (start) and FC (stop) realtime messages affect the STYLE playback, set "Start/Stop" to "Style" in "MIDI > System > page 1/2".

Also make sure that "System Exclusive Message > Receive" is turned On in "MIDI > System > page 2/2".

By the way, I generally recommend starting with the preset MIDI template "All Parts", then making the desired changes and then saving the changed template using a meaningful new file name. Please make sure that the newly created template is actually active afterwards (i.e. the new name must be displayed in the box above instead of "All Parts").

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris

But it didnt worked.
In clock setting there is no external option. It has internal, midi, usv1, usb2.
I set it to midi
Start/stop to Style
Sys ex message to on

But it didnt worked.

Hi Lazarselva,

Try to set the Clock to "USB1" if you have connected the SX900 via the USB-to-Host terminal.

USB1 is the internal MIDI Port 1. This port should also work with an Android device. If you have connected the SX900 to the PC (via a USB type AB cable), you should have installed the Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver (V3.1.4  64-bit) on the PC. Use the MIDI Output called "Digital Keyboard 1" or "Digital Workstation 1" on the PC.
