Please, could someone explain to me how to load and play either/or wav & mp3 files on my sx600 so that I can play along.  Thank you in advance.

BogdanH

hello,
You can not load (store) wav audio files on SX600 because it doesn't have enough memory. The only way to play them is from USB stick. See Owner's Manual (p.72).
Keep in mind, that built-in player only supports wav files (44100Hz,16bit stereo) -you can not use the player for mp3 files. For mp3 files, you need an external mp3 player device which you connect into keyboard AUX IN. In that case, you can obviously not control the external player from keyboard.

To BogdanH:
As usual, you are a wealth of helpful information.  Your experience and knowledge on the SX600 is of utmost value to us "NEWBIES".  It is great to know that there are folks like you out there that are so willing to help.  I am sure I am not the only one that appreciates and looks to you for help.  A "GREAT BIG THANKS TO YOU MY FRIEND !!  Your response to my questiion once again taught me something new that I was somehow uable to glean from the owners manual and reference manual.  (I struggle with finding help/answers in manuals for some reason LOL !)  Now, I know how to perform the function clearly that I had asked about thanks to you.  GRATITUDE !!!!!!

hi Pickheaven,
Thank you very much for your kind response.
I can fully understand what you say about manuals... the question is always "where do I find the answer for MY problem?". That's why I usually recommend to go trough manual without really looking for specific answers, so you can later say "yes, I remember that was mentioned in manual" -and you will also know where about to look for particular answer.
But yes, many times when we read manual, we also wonder "what do they mean by that?". And in this case the best thing to do is simply try out -that way we remember the things better.. we actually learn  :)

Greetings,
Bogdan
