Hi Linos4,
I made my experiences since at was published. And all what I can say is, it is worth to own it as it makes it much simplier to find the right Preset Style if arranging a new song. And the video wish explains that Genos and Genos2 Style Finder shows how to deal wit it.
Please refer to my posting I made:

You'll see you'll save a lot of time looking for the right style throughout all Genos / Genos2 Preset Styles.

I was also interested in this so took a look.

It obviously involved a great deal of work to categorize and link all the styles under the appropriate type and it does have it's use. However, it only addresses the Preset styles (not sure if it includes Expansion styles) so doesn't reduce the search for a particular style completely. That to me makes it not cost effective. I guess you could buy it and then link the rest of your style collection to the relevant type but that involves you in a lot of work as well.

What's needed is a far better search facility built into the keyboard. The one provided is very very basic.

That's my two penn'th,

Tony

Hi Tony

The Tyros has a search facility too and you mainly use it with the music finder to find suggested songs that fit a style. For me that's only a half baked solution as the styles seldom fit well and the intros are very generic. I much prefer to use song styles and load then from a USB ..that way the intros sound like the real mcCoy and even shorter intros work as middle 8 breaks .. I seldom use the preset styles as "songstyles" are plentiful on the forum (Take a look at the OTS/Styles section there are ones there that will blow your socks off. For me if I want to play say, Bad moon Rising, I look for it in my collection on USB and because they are songstyles all I need to look for is the actual title!!
